Design Engine was commissioned by The Chichester Society
in order to challenge a developer’s proposals for Chichester’s
Eastgate area. Our proposal introduces a series of interlinked spaces,
adjacent to the City wall, which visually connect the extended New
Park Centre to the existing Eastgate. The Centre opens onto a new
public space, which would be used during the Film Festival and other
events. Additional community facilities would be provided in the
upgraded St Pancras Church with pleasant outdoor eating areas in
the summer.
